SEN Tutor – Oxford

Rate: £20–£30 per hour

Are you an experienced tutor who is passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to work with learners in the Oxford area.
About the Role
Students: Children and young people with SEN, including ASD, dyslexia, ADHD, and more
Delivery: In-person, 1:1 or small group sessions
Subjects: Across the curriculum, tailored to individual needs
Key Responsibilities
Assess students' individual learning profiles and barriers
Plan and deliver bespoke schemes of work
Create engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environments
Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit diverse learning needs
Monitor and report on progress, celebrating achievements
Liaise with families and professionals as needed
About You
Essential:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or minimum 3 years’ tutoring experience
Proven experience working with students with ASD, dyslexia, ADHD, and other SEN
Ability to assess, plan, and deliver tailored learning sessions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, adaptable, and committed to making a positive impact
Desirable:
Experience in specialist or alternative provision settings
Up-to-date knowledge of SEND best practice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
