Become a Cornerstone of Artistic Expression & Leadership: Teacher of Art with Potential TLR at a Thriving Independent Cambridge School (September 2025 - Including A-Level)
More than just a teaching position, this is an opportunity to become an integral part of a warm, welcoming, and highly supportive academic community at our thriving independent school located in the culturally rich city of Cambridge. We're seeking a dedicated and empathetic Teacher of Art to join us in September 2025, someone who is not only passionate about their subject but also deeply invested in the intellectual development, creative expression, and artistic proficiency of our students across Key Stage 3 and, importantly, Key Stage 4 and 5, with the potential for a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR).
As a valued member of our team, commencing in September 2025, with a significant contribution to A-Level teaching, you will:
* Nurture Creative Confidence: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to explore, create, and express themselves through art across all key stages.
* Collaborate with Dedicated Professionals: Work alongside a team of passionate and experienced Art educators who are committed to a shared vision of academic excellence and student success in the creative arts.
* Contribute to a Positive Ethos: Embrace our school's inclusive and collaborative culture, where every member of staff is valued, and their contributions to the intellectual and pastoral life of the school are recognised within the Cambridge community.
* Make a Real Difference: Have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students and guide them on their journey to becoming confident artists, critical viewers, and culturally aware individuals, particularly as they progress through their A-Level studies.
* Enjoy a Supportive Work Environment: Benefit from a leadership team that prioritises staff well-being, provides excellent professional development opportunities in Art pedagogy, and fosters a strong sense of community within our Cambridge school and the Art department, with specific support for A-Level teaching and enrichment activities.
* (Potential TLR): Take on leadership responsibilities within the department, such as leading a specific key stage, developing new art programmes, or coordinating gallery visits and exhibitions.
We're looking for a qualified Art teacher who is not only an excellent practitioner but also a caring and supportive individual with a passion for fostering creativity and aesthetic understanding, with the ability to inspire and challenge A-Level students, and the potential to contribute to departmental leadership. If you're seeking an independent school in Cambridge where you can truly make a difference in the lives of young people through Art, including significant Key Stage 5 involvement and the chance to lead, we'd be thrilled to hear from you for a September 2025 start.
