Job Title: Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home
Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 DOE + £5,000 Annual Bonus
Hours: Full-Time, Permanent

3S Adolescent Care specialises in delivering high-quality residential care for young people aged 11–17 who have experienced trauma, exploitation, or have complex emotional and behavioural needs. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead one of our specialist children’s residential homes in Chorley. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives while driving high standards of care and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and inspire your team to provide outstanding care in line with the Quality Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations.
*
Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all children in the home.
*
Maintain Ofsted standards with a minimum expectation of ‘Good’ rating.
*
Oversee staff development, supervision, and rota management.
*
Take responsibility for the home’s budget, compliance, audits, and care planning.
*
Build strong relationships with external professionals, families, and local authorities.
*
Drive continuous improvement and therapeutic support aligned with each child’s care plan.
Essential Requirements:
*
Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
*
At least 3 years’ experience working with children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) within a residential setting.
*
1+ year in a senior or management position within children’s care.
*
Proven track record of managing successful Ofsted inspections.
*
Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection legislation, and quality standards.
*
Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills.
*
A full UK driving licence.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
*
Experience working in a therapeutic or trauma-informed care setting.
*
Background in youth justice or probation services.
*
Counselling or advanced team-building skills.
