A popular secondary school in Reading is seeking a motivated and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join their Technology faculty from September 2025. This full-time, permanent role involves teaching across KS3–4, with emphasis on healthy living, food science, and student confidence in practical skills.

The department is collaborative and well-resourced, with strong links to hospitality and nutrition-based career pathways.

Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality food technology lessons using the AQA specification

*

Support pupils with NEA tasks, practical work, and exam prep

*

Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment

*

Participate in enrichment including cookery clubs and healthy eating initiatives

*

Develop schemes of work in collaboration with the DT and PSHE teams

You Will Need:

Relevant degree (e.g., Food, Nutrition, Hospitality) and QTS

*

Clear knowledge of curriculum planning and assessment

*

Strong practical skills and classroom presence

*

Passion for food education and pupil engagement
