NYKays Recruitment are seeking dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Teaching Assistants to work with children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in primary and secondary school settings.

The Role

* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with ASD in primary or secondary classrooms

* Support communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction

* Implement personalised strategies, including visual supports and sensory regulation

* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and families

* Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour

* Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

About You

* Experience working with children or young people with ASD (in primary, secondary, school, or care settings)

* Patient, empathetic, and resilient

* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential — training can be provided
