Mechanical Fitter

Rate: £14.50 per hour (PAYE) or £20 per hour (Umbrella Co or Ltd Co)

Duration: 8-10 weeks

Location: Watford

Excellent new contract available for a Mechanical Fitter position has become available. Have you got extensive experience of precision mechanical assembly / fitting ideally working on special purpose machines?

The Mechanical Fitter role is varied and you will be able work within a small team working on bespoke machinery which is utilised within a number of sectors.

With plenty of hours available, we are looking for people who are available ASAP.

Mechanical Fitter Requirements:

Proven experience of working as a Mechanical Fitter within a engineering manufacturing environment
Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings
Build and run basic tests on machinery as required
Have good understanding of mechanical principles and precision mechanisms
BTEC or HND qualification (or work-based alternative qualifications / experience)

Mechanical Fitter Responsibilities:

Assist with the building of production machinery
The Mechanical Fitter will be required to read and interpret engineering drawings and build special purpose machinery
Electrical knowledge or experience is preferred but not essential
Candidates will be required to build sub-assemblies and complete machine builds
