Assistant HR Manager
Office-based in Twickenham, with travel to Kingston, Isleworth, and Great West Road dealerships.
£40,000
Plus Company Car and Full Benefits Package
Hours: Monday to Friday from 9am till 5.30pm

The Assistant HR Manager Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the HR Director and supported by an HR Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality, end-to-end HR service across our multi-site automotive business.
From employee relations and recruitment to learning and development, HR compliance, and engagement initiatives - you'll help shape a positive and high-performing workplace culture in line with our company values.
What your day might look like:
• First point of contact for all HR queries, offering empathetic, professional support to staff and managers.
• Advise on all HR matters-terms, benefits, leave, pay, equal opportunities, and more.
• Develop and implement HR processes to ensure legal compliance, consistency, and efficiency.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
• Handle employee relations, including absence, performance, disciplinary, and grievance cases.
• Lead on contractual changes, including staff consultations.
• Maintain accurate HR records and deliver key insights and reports to management.
• Partner with managers to ensure policy compliance and HR best practices.
• Oversee reward and recognition programs, including salary reviews and long service awards.
• Support training and development initiatives.
• Contribute to HR projects as needed.
About you:
• Highly organised, adaptable, and skilled at juggling priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid HR operations experience with strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR policies.
• Confident negotiator with the ability to influence and drive behavioural change across all levels.
• Sharp administrative, numerical, and communication abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and top-tier organisational skills.
• Trusted with confidential information; handles sensitive matters with care.
• Builds strong relationships across all levels of the business.
• CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) preferred.
• Full, clean UK driving licence required.
