Finance Business Partner – Nottingham City Centre - Hybrid Working - Full-time Permanent - £40,000 - £45,000We are working with a well-established professional services firm to recruit a Finance Business Partner. This newly created position offers a unique opportunity to lead the financial relationship with a major client, acting as the strategic link between internal finance operations and key external stakeholders.
You will work closely with colleagues across the wider finance function, this is a visible, relationship-driven role with real influence.

The Opportunity:

As Finance Business Partner, you will:

Act as the main point of contact for all financial matters related to a major client
Own the financial relationship from initial client onboarding through to closure, including oversight of any inactive or legacy matters
Coordinate with internal teams across billing, e-billing, credit control, and reporting to ensure an exceptional client experience
Review and improve internal finance processes to enhance service delivery and commercial outcomes
Design and implement bespoke reporting tailored to client requirements
Support internal teams with training, issue resolution, and resource planning
Lead ad-hoc client projects to improve financial communication and efficiency
Champion collaboration between finance and client-facing teams, building strong relationships across the businessKey Requirements:

The successful candidate will bring:

At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a professional services environment
A strong track record of managing external client relationships from a finance or commercial perspective
A collaborative, commercial and confident approach, with the ability to challenge constructively and drive change
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the gravitas to engage senior stakeholders
Strong systems understanding
Sound understanding of financial operations including billing, collections, and reporting
