Salary: £45,691 – £53,642 (Depending on Experience)

About the Role
As a Children’s Homes Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership and management of two 2-bed in-house residential homes, providing therapeutic care and support for children in care. This is a vital opportunity to shape high-quality services within a local authority where most homes are rated “Good” or “Outstanding” by Ofsted. You will lead a skilled and committed team, ensuring a nurturing environment that enables children to heal, develop, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Manage two therapeutic 2-bed homes and lead a dedicated care team
Register with Ofsted and maintain high inspection standards
Embed therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches
Ensure quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and effective budgeting
Foster a positive, inclusive culture centred on the needs and voices of children
Work with families, professionals, and stakeholders to achieve strong outcomesRequirements
2+ years’ experience in children’s residential care and 1+ year in a supervisory role
Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, and children’s legislation
Proven leadership, communication, and team development skills
Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete within 3 years)
