The Slinger Banksman assists in the safe and efficient movement of materials and operation of lifting equipment on construction sites. They coordinate with crane operators, riggers, and construction personnel to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate load movements and assist in planning lifting operations.

2. Use hand signals and communication devices to guide crane operators.

3. Inspect loads for security, balance, and special handling requirements.

4. Regularly inspect lifting equipment and report any issues.

5. Enforce safety regulations and identify potential hazards.

6. Assess risks and implement safety measures.

7. Collaborate with the lifting team and other construction personnel.

8. Maintain accurate records of lifting operations and report incidents.

Requirements:

* Knowledge of lifting operations, slinging techniques, and safety regulations.

* Medical – Completed within 2 years

* Valid CPCS Slinger/Signaller certification or equivalent.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Physical fitness and ability to work in varying conditions.

* Attention to detail and ability to identify hazards.

* Teamwork skills.
