About the Role Our client - a leading company in construction, is seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team. This role is key to ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and maintaining strong relationships with vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Process purchase invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently
Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
Prepare payment runs and ensure compliance with company policies
Handle supplier queries promptly and professionally
Assist with month-end processes and reporting Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication skills for dealing with suppliers and internal teams
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Sage, Xero, SAP)
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline
