We are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to support delivery on an active substation project located in Norwich. This short-term role is ideal for an engineer with experience in civils and electrical infrastructure works, looking to take on a focused package over an 8-week period.

Key Responsibilities:

Setting out for civil works, cable routes, concrete bases, and associated substation infrastructure

*

Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

*

Ensuring all work is delivered in accordance with project quality and HSE standards

*

Managing site records, QA documentation, and as-built drawings

*

Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and client representatives

*

Providing accurate daily reports and supporting progress tracking

Requirements:

*

Prior experience working on substations, civils, or utilities projects

*

Strong setting out skills using GPS, total station, and AutoCAD

*

Valid CSCS card

*

SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred but not essential)

*

HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline

*

Ability to work autonomously and manage site engineering duties with minimal supervision
