Our Clients Serious and Catastrophic Injury team is top-ranked in the major legal directories, has relationships with most of the major insurers, and is renowned for their unique and innovative approach.
Our client is looking for an experienced Associate to work in our fast-growing catastrophic injury team in Bristol. This role involves managing high-value catastrophic injury cases, including motor, employer, and public liability claims. You will work on sensitive and high-profile cases reported in the national media, reporting directly to the UK Head of Catastrophic Injury.
Package for an Associate:
Salary: Competitive
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm
Contract type: Permanent
Location : Bristol City Centre
Key Responsibilities of an Associate:
Running a full caseload of catastrophic injury claims, and having an accurate understanding of the delegated authority principles
Working on sensitive and high-profile cases reported in the national media, reporting directly to our UK Head of Catastrophic Injury
Building and maintaining effective working relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure service levels are met
Ensuring a consistent approach to client claims and implementing insurer's policies so that claims are dealt with fairly
Negotiating settlement of claims within the delegated authority
Investigating and reporting to insurer's on policy cover and response
Key Skills and Experience of an Associate:
0-3 years' experience in a catastrophic injury role
Proven experience in defendant claims handling, including any combination of motor, employer liability, and public liability
Experience in assisting on large cases within a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
