We are working with a leading UK manufacturer of ventilation products seeking to appoint an experienced Toolmaker to join the engineering team at their Reading manufacturing site.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a well-established team, taking responsibility for maintaining, repairing, and producing injection mould tools, and making sure the tooling operation runs smoothly and to a high standard.
It’s a hands-on role, ideal for someone with solid experience in injection moulding tools and a background in precision toolroom work who enjoys using their skills day to day.
What you’ll be doing:
* Maintaining and repairing injection mould tools so they are ready for production
* Making and modifying new tools where required
* Using toolroom machinery such as lathes, mills, grinders and spark eroders
* Reading and working from detailed engineering drawings
* Checking your work with toolroom inspection equipment
* Working with the wider engineering team to keep production on track
* Always following health and safety standards in the workshop
What we’re looking for:
* An experienced Toolmaker ideally with a background in injection moulding tooling
* Good all-round toolroom skills – lathes, mills, grinders, spark erosion
* Able to read and understand engineering drawings
* Experience building and assembling new tools to tight tolerances
* Someone who is methodical, with a keen eye for detail
* A team player who is reliable and takes pride in their work
Summary:

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + benefits
Start: Notice dependent
