Are you an imaginative and enthusiastic Art Teacher looking for a new and exciting role? We are seeking a dedicated and creative Art Teacher to join a successful and forward-thinking department in a thriving secondary school in Cheltenham, starting in September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role, open to both experienced practitioners and Early Career Teachers.

About the Art Department

About the Role
As an Art Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
• Teaching Art across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to teach KS5 depending on experience.
• Planning and delivering creative, challenging, and inclusive lessons that build skills and artistic confidence.
• Supporting students with coursework, portfolios, and exhibition preparation.
• Developing resources and contributing to curriculum innovation within the department.
• Maintaining a high standard of classroom display and promoting a visually inspiring environment.
• Participating in school-wide arts events, projects, and trips.
• Working collaboratively with other teachers and support staff.
• Engaging in CPD and contributing to the broader school community.
Experience and Qualifications
• Degree in Art or a related field
• QTS or PGCE with Art specialism
• A passion for visual arts and a flair for engaging, dynamic teaching
• Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
• A desire to inspire students and nurture their creativity
Salary
The salary for this Art Teacher position will be paid to scale – MPS/UPS, depending on experience.
