This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a well established, fast growing accountancy practice in Bolton. This role will play a key part in managing the practices internal finance function & will also be a mentor to more junior members of staff.

Description

· Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements on relevant accounting software (Xero, QB, Sage etc).

· Manage accounts payable and receivable.

· Prepare and process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.

· Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.

· Prepare and file VAT returns.

· Provide support to our team of accountants, as needed.

· Ensure compliance with UK accounting regulations and legislation.

· Maintain confidential financial information.

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.

· Assist with producing the management accounts pack - balance sheet, P&L, journals etc.

Profile

The successful candidate will:

Be actively studying AAT / ACA / ACCA / CIMA.
Have a proven track record in a similar role.
Have working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
Have an understanding of accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks, Sage etc.
Be an excellent written and verbal communicator.
