The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our yard. This role is crucial in ensuring that products are loaded, unloaded, and stored accurately, contributing to the overall productivity of our operations.

We are looking for an experienced Forklift Truck (FLT) Driver to join a busy, dynamic merchant on a temp-to-perm basis.

Role: FLT Driver

Location: Huddersfield

Hours: Mon-Fri, 7:30am – 5:00pm

Pay: £12.21 – £13.21 per hour

This hands-on role requires both skilled forklift operation and manual order picking, ideal for a candidate who is physically fit and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely and efficiently operating a forklift truck

- Picking and preparing orders for dispatch

- Supporting general warehouse duties

- Ensuring correct handling and storage of stock

- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace

Requirements:

- Valid FLT licence (Counterbalance or Reach, as required)

- Full UK driving licence

- Physically fit with experience in manual handling

- Good literacy skills for reading pick notes and paperwork

- Previous warehouse or merchant experience preferred

- Team player comfortable in fast-paced settings
