Information Security Analyst

Location: Hull (3-4 days on site)

Salary: Up to £53,000

A leading UK enterprise manufacturing business is looking for an Information Security Analyst to join its growing team. This role has been created to strengthen security governance and compliance as the company continues to expand.

You will play a pivotal role in developing the organisation’s GRC function, supporting its journey to ISO 27001 certification and Cyber Essentials. Alongside governance and compliance, you’ll also be responsible for driving adoption and optimisation of Microsoft Purview to enable DLP, GDPR compliance, data classification, and reporting.

This is an opportunity to combine hands on technical work with Purview and wider Microsoft security tooling, while also shaping security processes, policies, and risk frameworks as the business builds a mature information security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the configuration, optimisation, and ongoing management of Microsoft Purview (DLP, data governance, compliance).

* Contribute to the design and implementation of ISO 27001 ISMS and GRC frameworks.

* Support GDPR compliance initiatives, including data handling, privacy controls, and audit readiness.

* Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and risk assessments.

* Drive security awareness programmes across the organisation.

Experience Required:

* Strong knowledge of ISO 27001 and security governance frameworks.

* Hands-on technical experience with Microsoft Purview and related Microsoft 365 security/compliance tools.

* Proven background in GDPR compliance and data protection.

* Experience in DLP policy design and incident response.

* Security certifications (e.g., CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor) are advantageous.
