About the Role of Clinical Lead:

A well-established care provider is seeking a proactive and clinically experienced Clinical Lead Nurse to help oversee the delivery of exceptional care across a residential service for adults with complex needs. You will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure all clinical aspects of care meet the highest standards, align with current best practice, and support the overall wellbeing and independence of service users.

What You'll Be Doing as a Clinical Lead:

Carry out comprehensive clinical assessments and develop tailored care plans that reflect individual needs and promote independence.

Lead and mentor a dedicated care team, ensuring robust support structures are in place and staff are clinically competent.

Support the manager in training delivery and development planning across the team.

Contribute to internal quality monitoring processes and ensure care documentation is accurate, person-centred, and reflective of best practice.

Supervise and support colleagues in meeting regulatory standards and internal clinical governance requirements.

Take a lead role in clinical supervisions and nurse performance reviews.

Monitor service provision in line with health and safety legislation, infection control, medication audits, and other internal checks.

Provide support with rota management, ensuring safe staffing levels and skill mix.

Liaise with external health professionals, families, and partner agencies to coordinate multidisciplinary input.

Support the service's involvement in training placements and mentor student nurses.

Contribute to ongoing service improvement by participating in audits, feedback reviews, and development initiatives.

Promote service user engagement and ensure individual rights, dignity, and choice are respected at all times.

Provide clinical cover as required, including oversight of shift handovers, medication rounds, and emergency response.

What We're Looking For in our Clinical Lead:

Registered Nurse with active NMC pin (RGN, RMN, or RNLD).

Experience in a senior nursing or clinical leadership role within adult social care, mental health, or supported living environments.

Strong working knowledge of current legislation, safeguarding frameworks, and CQC standards.

Confident in leading staff, managing clinical risk, and coaching others to develop.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and support a culture of continuous improvement.

Benefits for the Clinical Lead:

Incremental annual leave, increasing with service (up to 33 days including bank holidays)

Pension scheme

Ongoing training and career development opportunities

Employee Assistance Programme (24/7 support)
