Job Title: Semi-Skilled Operator
Location: Middlesbrough
Hourly Rate: £13.07 per hour + KPI Bonus + Attendance Bonus
Shifts: Day Shift (early finish Friday) or Back Shift (four 10-hour shifts)

Job Description

As a Semi-Skilled Operator, you’ll work within a close-knit production team handling steel materials and operating key machinery. You’ll ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

* Safely operate forklifts (FLT) to move and handle materials.

* Use overhead cranes to transport heavy components.

* Set up and run bandsaws to cut materials to exact specifications.

* Load, transport, and store materials safely in the production area.

* Perform visual and measurement-based quality checks.

* Follow all health and safety procedures and use PPE correctly.

* Conduct equipment checks and maintain a clean, organised workspace.

* Accurately record material usage and operational data.

This Semi-Skilled Operator position is ideal for someone who takes pride in hands-on work, values teamwork, and has a strong safety mindset.

Skills & Experience

* Valid Forklift (FLT) Licence.

* Experience operating overhead cranes.

* Bandsaw operation experience preferred.

* Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices.

* Physically fit and capable of manual handling.

* Reliable, detail-focused, and able to work well in a team.
