Are you an experienced Senior Technician with a passion for cutting‑edge UAV technology and global operations? This is an exceptional opportunity to join a fast‑growing autonomous aviation organisation operating at the forefront of uncrewed aircraft, logistics, humanitarian assistance, environmental missions, and defence.

We are seeking ambitious, adaptable technicians with strong experience in UAV support or a related technical discipline to represent the organisation on a global stage. You will deliver high‑quality maintenance, modification, and operational support for advanced uncrewed aircraft systems anywhere in the world.

Position Overview

You will be responsible for providing world‑class support to autonomous UAV systems, ensuring they are maintained, modified, and operated safely and effectively in diverse, and sometimes remote, environments.

This is a hands‑on role requiring initiative, flexibility, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, flight operations, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Operational Delivery

Carry out planned fleet modifications and scheduled maintenance
Diagnose, plan, and complete unscheduled maintenance and repairs
Undertake post‑manufacture modifications in collaboration with Engineering and R&D
Conduct ground testing for quality assurance and fault identification
Support flight operations including ground handling, refuelling, and on-site maintenance
Maintain strict adherence to operational procedures, safety standards, and airspace regulations
Collect data and document issues, ensuring accurate reporting
Obtain flight permits and approvals for operations in restricted airspace
Communicate effectively with ground crews, project managers, ATC, and UAV Ground Control
Record flight, maintenance, and incident information accurately

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry practices and promote continuous learning
Lead by example, upholding company values, policies, and safety culture
Plan day-to-day operations and balance resources in a fast-paced, agile environment
Oversee delivery of critical technical or functional areas
Contribute subject matter expertise within MMRO domains
Drive cross-functional collaboration across Flight Operations, Engineering, Customer Success and other teams
Maintain documentation, quality, and compliance standards
Identify and implement process improvements and support organisational scalability

People Leadership

Manage, coach, and develop team members
Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning
Support high-performance, inclusive team culture
Set and support goal-setting for direct and indirect reports

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

Experienced vehicle technician (aviation, automotive, marine, rail, or similar)
Strong mechanical or electrical/electronic fault diagnosis abilities
Confident supervising others within a technical trade
Ability to read engineering drawings (MCAD/ECAD)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work across multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Competent Microsoft Office user
Willingness and ability to travel globally, including remote or austere environmentsDesirable:

Experience with both mechanical and electronic diagnostics
Experience using ERP or project management tools
Instructional or training experience
Prior UAV, aerospace, or field engineering experience

Requirements

Clean driving licence with ability to drive C1, D1, D1E
Right to work in the UK
Ability to travel to EU and non‑EU locations
Ability to obtain security vetting/clearance as required
