About the role
A mainstream primary school in Hackney are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching assistant to join their team on a full time basis from January 2026 - July 2026 supporting a pupil in Year 2 with ASD.
This is a great opportunity to join a strong team in a great school.
You should-
- Have experience working with primary aged children
-Have experience working with pupils with ASD
- Be able to work on your own initiative, being able to identify where support is needed in the classroom and with the pupil
- Be able to work well in a team and have strong communication skills
- Be empathetic, caring, supporting and able to support children with different levels of needs
- Be proactive and able to adapt to the demands of a busy classroom
- Holding a relevant qualification is desirable but not essential
About the school
The school expects all staff to work collaboratively as part of a team and be able to communicate effectively with staff and pupils.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Year 2 Teaching Assistant you will:
Have a DBS on the updated service or be willing to apply for one
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
Prior experience working with children
