? About the Role

As a freelance ecologist, you will support a variety of projects, from preliminary ecological appraisals to protected species surveys and mitigation work. You'll work closely with our team to deliver high-quality fieldwork and reporting, helping our clients meet planning and environmental obligations.

✅ Responsibilities

* Conducting habitat and protected species surveys

* Preparing ecological reports

* Supporting mitigation, translocation, and habitat management plans

* Liaising with clients and local authorities where required

? About You

* Degree in ecology, environmental science, or related discipline

* Minimum 2 years’ experience in ecological consultancy or fieldwork

* Familiarity with UK habitats and protected species legislation

* Own transport and flexibility to travel for fieldwork
