Orion Group is working with a successful national Construction client to source an Assistant Site Manager to add to the Highland based Operations.
What you will be doing: .
To direct the necessary labour, plant, staff and equipment to achieve both plot and project completion on time, to specification and within budget.
Monitor that the Buying team and Surveying department order the correct materials and sub-contract services in good time to meet contract obligations.
Manage Site teams by monitoring performance against contract targets and instigating any necessary corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with Group Safety Policy and Health and Safety Regulations.
Ensure that staff and operatives are managed and led effectively by developing the skills and attitudes of managers resulting in the provision of a working environment that engenders high morale.
About You:
Experience of working within the Construction industry.
Completed an Apprenticeship in a Construction discipline, ideally Joinery
Positive contribution to behavioural safety initiatives.
Good communication verbal and written.
Present a clean and tidy site and have a good knowledge of the Considerate Contractor’s requirements to achieve high scores.
