The Mathematics Department is a motivated and close-knit team that places a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching, shared best practice, and student progress. The school is now seeking an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join the department on a full-time, long-term basis from February 2026.
The Position
As a Maths Teacher, you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students build confidence, fluency, and problem-solving skills. You will deliver lessons that are engaging, well-paced, and accessible, ensuring all learners are challenged and supported to achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 classes
Plan structured and differentiated lessons to support varied abilities
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
Prepare pupils effectively for GCSE examinations
Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
Monitor progress and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
Take part in enrichment activities and wider school initiatives
The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics
Uses reflective and creative teaching strategies
Maintains high expectations for behaviour and achievement
Is committed to ongoing professional development
Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply
