About the Role
We are looking for a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary school team. In this role, you will work closely with class teachers and SEND staff to support pupils with a range of additional needs-including autism, speech and language delays, social and emotional needs, and learning difficulties.
You will help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child feels safe, supported and ready to achieve their full potential.
What You'll Be Doing
Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with identified SEND
Assisting with personalised learning plans and behaviour support strategies
Helping children develop confidence, independence and social skills
Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
Creating a calm, nurturing, and engaging classroom atmosphere
What We're Looking For
Experience supporting children with SEND (school-based experience is an advantage, but not essential)
A warm, patient and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for helping children succeed
Willingness to learn and take part in training opportunities
