Location: Sunbury-on-Thames | Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 + Benefits
A specialist environmental consultancy and technology provider is seeking a motivated Acoustic Consultant to join its established team in Sunbury-on-Thames. The Role
As an Acoustic Consultant, you will support the delivery of environmental noise and vibration assessments, working alongside a skilled team of consultants and engineers. Responsibilities include:
Carrying out environmental noise surveys and on-site measurements
Supporting acoustic impact assessments for planning and compliance
Preparing clear, high-quality technical reports
Undertaking noise modelling using tools like CadnaA and ODEON
Assisting in project coordination and liaising with clients, planners, and regulators
Gaining exposure to environmental monitoring systems and advanced instrumentation
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
A degree in Acoustics, Environmental Science, Physics, or a related field
1–3 years’ experience in acoustic consultancy or a related technical role
Basic familiarity with noise modelling software (e.g., CadnaA, SoundPLAN, ODEON)
Good written and verbal communication skills
A proactive approach to learning and problem-solving
A full UK driving licence (site visits required)
