EYFS Teaching Assistant - Primary School
Location: Lewisham, South East London
Start Date: September 2025
Pay: £100 - £120 per day
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm

A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Lewisham is seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team in September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood development to build hands-on experience in a school setting.

About the Role:

Support the learning and development of children aged 3 to 5 within the EYFS framework

Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning activities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils, including those with additional needs

Help to manage classroom routines, behaviour, and create a safe and nurturing learning environment

Monitor and record pupil progress in line with EYFS assessment guidelines

Ideal Candidate:

Degree in Early Childhood Studies, Education, Psychology, or a related field is desirable

Experience working with young children in a school, nursery or childcare setting is preferred

A patient, enthusiastic, and flexible approach

Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in supporting children's early development

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

What the School Offers:

Competitive daily rate of £100 - £120 per day

Working hours of 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
