We are a high-quality, independent extra care provider for older adults and people with complex needs to live safely and independently in extra care housing and their own homes.
As a Bank Care Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, person-centred care to clients in our extra care schemes and across the local community. You will help individuals retain their independence and wellbeing through support with personal care, medication, meal preparation, and day-to-day living tasks.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver personal and emotional care sensitively and respectfully.

Assist with meal preparation, domestic tasks, shopping, and attending appointments.
*
Support clients with medication in line with care plans.
*
Encourage independence, choice, and a healthy lifestyle.
*
Promote social inclusion and wellbeing through companionship and participation in local activities.
*
Respond to emergencies and report concerns regarding wellbeing, safeguarding, or health.
*
Maintain accurate care records in line with CQC standards and company policies.
What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with older people or adults with care needs.
*
Understanding of person-centred care and dignity in practice.
*
Ability to work independently and with initiative.
*
Good communication skills and a caring, respectful attitude.
Essential Skills
* Mandatory care certificate qualification or studying towards this or willing to study towards this.
Desirable Skills
* A current First Aid qualification.
* Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, NVQ Level 2 (or equivalents) or studying towards this
Experience
Essential
* Experience within a extra care environment, which has involved interaction with older people and with those who may present challenging behaviours.
* Experience of providing care, or other services to adults with support needs
* Experience of working with older people
* Experience of working with and relating to people from a wide variety of backgrounds
* Awareness of working with people who may have physical disabilities, mental health needs, dementia and / or learning disabilities
Desirable
* Experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders (e.g. medical professionals, community outreach groups) is desirable.
