We are working with a professional, established technology/manufacturing company in Tewkesbury who has a full-time permanent opportunity for an experienced Stores/Warehouse person to support the monitoring and control of stock levels. You will be counting & checking inventory and reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor as well as liaising with manufacturing and supply chain operations teams. Some heavy lifting is involved and a positive, flexible attitude is required.

Key Responsibilities

* Picking of components and kits to supply to manufacturing

* Ensuring accuracy of stock levels following physical transfer of goods

* Keep inventory tidy and stored in the correct location

* Undertake training & become competent in other warehouse functions so that cross functional support can be provided to colleagues

* Practice 5S principles

* Comply with all Health & Safety rules at all times

* Be helpful & polite to all internal & external customers

* Supporting efforts of the team in maintaining a good working environment

* Carry out all responsibilities with minimum supervision & use initiative where appropriate

* Proactively support the ongoing development of the stores function in line wit the principle of continuous improvement

Essential Criteria

* Counterbalance & Reach forklift licence or willing to take/achieve qualification within 6 months of commencement

* Work experience within a warehouse/stores environment

* Basic computer literacy & effective verbal communication skills

* Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues & willing/able to learn new skills

Salary £25K per year; Hours 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
