Are you a proactive and detail-oriented Surveyor with a background in planned maintenance or capital works? We are currently working with a forward-thinking social housing company that is seeking an experienced Planned Works Surveyor to join their team on an ongoing temporary basis.

Role Overview:

As part of the Housing or Property Services team, you will play a vital role in the delivery of planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes. You'll be responsible for inspecting properties, preparing specifications, managing contractors, and ensuring works are delivered to time, budget, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out site inspections and surveys of residential and public buildings
Prepare detailed works specifications and schedules of rates
Oversee the delivery of planned maintenance and improvement works
Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual standards
Manage stakeholder communication and address tenant queries where appropriate
Ensure all works adhere to health & safety and statutory regulations

Requirements:

Proven experience in surveying within a local authority or social housing environment
Strong knowledge of planned maintenance processes and building regulations
Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills
Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND, degree in Building Surveying or related field)
Full UK driving licence (if travel between sites is required)
