The Role – Customer Service Coordinator
As a Customer Service Coordinator, you’ll act as the link between customers, transport planners, and drivers, ensuring every delivery runs as smoothly as possible. You’ll handle customer enquiries, resolve issues quickly, and provide updates in a calm, professional manner.
This is a great role for someone who has worked in transport, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing and understands how important clear communication and attention to detail are in a busy operations setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for customer queries via phone and email.
* Keep customers updated on deliveries, collections, and potential delays.
* Liaise with transport planners and drivers to ensure accurate, timely communication.
* Handle issues in a professional, solution-focused way - maintaining a positive customer experience.
* Maintain accurate records using internal systems and transport management software.
* Support the wider operations team with reports, updates, and service performance tracking.
About You
* Experience in a customer service role within transport, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing.
* Excellent communication skills - able to stay calm and professional under pressure.
* Confident liaising with planners and drivers while remaining polite and customer-focused.
* Organised, proactive, and able to multitask effectively.
* IT literate; experience using TMS or WMS systems is an advantage.
* A natural problem-solver who enjoys helping customers and improving processes.
