We’re looking for a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in the Early Years Foundation Stage. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a welcoming primary school community that values nurture, inclusion, and the joy of learning.

Working closely with the class teacher, you’ll help create a supportive and stimulating environment where every child can access learning at their own pace. • A patient, compassionate approach to supporting pupils with additional needs
• An understanding of how to adapt activities and resources to meet individual learning goals
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow guidance and collaborate with teaching staff
• A positive outlook, sense of humour, and genuine care for children’s wellbeing and progress

Role Requirements

• Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and early learning approaches
• Familiarity with phonics (Read Write Inc. or similar) and early literacy support
• Experience using or willingness to learn alternative communication systems (e.g. Makaton, PECS)
• Relevant qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (Level 2/3) or equivalent experience
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Why Apply

• A rewarding role supporting children to build confidence and independence
• A positive and inclusive school community with a strong team ethos
• Professional development and training opportunities tailored to SEND support
• Competitive pay based on experience
