We are currently seeking a Legal Assistant to join our client's Debt Recovery Department in Leamington Spa. You will be part of a fast-paced team which has an unrivalled reputation for client focused hard work and successes.
The role of Legal Assistant is to provide a first-class legal service, maximising recovery on overdue debt balances for a variety of clients and providing administrative support, case management, and client communication.
Job Responsibilities
Managing deadlines and competing work priorities
Drafting particulars of claim, judgement requests, interim applications, instructions to agents or counsel.
Corresponding with clients, solicitors, customers and courts via telephone and email and dealing with correspondence in accordance with client SLA's.
Assisting the legal manager by undertaking research and helping where required
Achieving set targets in volume collections and productivity KPI's.
Support with dialler coverage as and when required.
Client communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and addressing any queries.
Reviewing reports to ensure files progress correctly
Court Filings: Prepare and file court documents, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures.
Progression of files through each legal milestone to conclusion
Person Specification
The Successful candidate will be able to work in fast paced fluid environment; we are specifically looking for someone with:
Previous administration experience
An interest in law or legal proceedings.
Excellent communication and organisation skills
Good eye for detail and ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks
Able to work both on your own initiative and as part of a team
