About the Project
ITS Construction is supporting the delivery of a landmark 35MW Energy from Waste (EfW) facility, part of a large-scale clean energy infrastructure programme led by a global industrial and energy group. The project includes major civil, mechanical, and electrical works, with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and safety.
Role Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the electrical package across all phases of the build — from installation through to commissioning. This is a key role in ensuring the electrical systems are delivered to the highest standards, safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee and inspect electrical installations including HV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, and control panels
*
Coordinate electrical subcontractors and interface with civils and M&E teams
*
Review electrical designs, drawings, ITPs, and method statements
*
Support progress tracking, testing, and commissioning
*
Ensure compliance with site safety rules and relevant electrical standards (BS 7671, etc.)
*
Collaborate with internal teams and client-side reps during quality inspections and handovers
Requirements
*
HNC/HND or degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
*
Proven experience delivering electrical works on large-scale energy, power, or industrial projects
*
Sound knowledge of electrical standards, safe systems of work, and testing procedures
*
Familiarity with NEC contracts and site-based engineering delivery
*
ECS/CSCS required; SMSTS or SSSTS desirable
Desirable
*
Background in Energy from Waste, biomass, CHP, or process plant environments
*
Exposure to HV switching, SCADA/PLC systems, or commissioning activities
*
Strong documentation and communication skills
