Freight Forwarding Administrator required for a logistics company, this role covers the administration side and is the point of contact between the external sales teams and clients. This role will cover producing bills of lading and Provide bill of lading instructions. They will train you up for a full freight forwarding position, starting with the bills of lading, clearing the team emails, being a contact for clients and the external sales team. Due to growth over the past 6 months, this is a brand new role being created NOT a replacement role. This Bradford based freight forwarder is paying a starting salary of £28k for the Freight Forwarding Administrator, with reviews once you learn new areas.
The role
As a Freight Forwarding Administrator, you will cover the following duties:
* Monitor and maintain shared inbox
* Undertake customer bookings and input data into Cargowise
* Check and send customer documentation
* Produce bills of lading
* Provide bill of lading instructions
* Carry out any other reasonable duties required by the business
Competencies:
* Attention to detail
* Decision-making ability
* Good organisational skills
* Good communication skills (verbal and written)
* Ability to use Excel, Word and Outlook
Experience
For this role the client is looking for a candidate from a freight forwarding background or a logistics background. You will have a understanding of the bills of lading and the paperwork required. You will be trained up for a full freight forwarding role
