     An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced scientific leader to take on the role of Scientific Director – Immunoassay, leading a talented Immunoassay Method Development team.
This is a senior position with the scope to shape scientific strategy, mentor skilled scientists, and ensure the delivery of robust, high-quality bioanalytical methods within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Responsibilities:
  * Lead and inspire the Immunoassay Method Development team, ensuring best practices and scientific rigour across all activities.
  * Act as a core member of the Bioanalysis leadership team, contributing to strategic direction and continuous improvement.
  * Oversee all active immunoassay method development projects, ensuring delivery to client expectations.
  * Provide scientific mentorship and oversight, ensuring methods are robust, validated, and fit-for-purpose.
  * Support business development by advising on client proposals, attending scientific meetings, and presenting scientific expertise externally.
  * Champion innovation, efficiency and scientific excellence across the department and wider organisation.
What You’ll Bring
  * A degree (PhD desirable) in a relevant scientific field and at least 15 years’ experience in biotech, pharma, or CRO environments.
  * Proven leadership experience – coaching, mentoring and motivating scientific teams.
  * Strong technical background in Immunoassay method development for PK, ADA and PD analysis.
  * Familiarity with GLP and regulatory guidelines (e.g. ICH M10).
  * Excellent communication skills with a track record of presenting, publishing, and engaging with the scientific community.
  * Experience in cell and gene therapy, or an understanding of the full drug development pathway, would be an advantage.
