Year 5 Teacher – Full-Time, Permanent – Gloucester – September 2025 Start

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher with experience in Upper Key Stage 2? We are seeking a Full-Time Year 5 Teacher to join our supportive and enthusiastic team from September 2025. The Role:

As a Year 5 Teacher, you will deliver a broad and stimulating curriculum that prepares pupils for the transition to Year 6 and secondary education. You will plan engaging lessons, assess pupil progress, and provide targeted support to meet the needs of all learners. We seek someone with strong classroom management skills, creativity, and a commitment to developing confident, independent learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver inspiring lessons in line with the Year 5 National Curriculum.

Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback and interventions as needed.

Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and resilience.

Support pupils’ academic and personal development, fostering self-confidence and motivation.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent and effective curriculum delivery.

Engage with parents and carers to support pupils’ learning and well-being.

What We’re Looking For:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

*

Experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5.

*

Strong knowledge of the Year 5 curriculum and assessment requirements.

*

Effective classroom management and behaviour strategies.

*

A passionate, reflective approach to teaching and learning.

*

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
