The Role
As the new Art ECT, you’ll teach Key Stage 3 classes and GCSE groups, with opportunities to assist with A-Level Fine Art, Graphic Communication, or 3D Design depending on your strengths.
Key responsibilities include:

Delivering engaging practical lessons with clear progression and room for student creativity
*
Encouraging experimentation and independent project work
*
Preparing students for local and national exhibitions and competitions
*
Maintaining a vibrant learning space and contributing to school displays
*
Participating in whole-school enrichment weeks and open studios
Ideal Candidate
*
Degree in Fine Art, Design, Illustration, or similar creative subject
*
Currently completing a PGCE, SCITT, or similar route to QTS (2025)
*
Confidence with both traditional media and digital tools
*
Portfolio or prior teaching experience that demonstrates a passion for pupil creativity
*
Eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to wider creative life at school
