Senior Systems Administrator Prerequisites
IT Systems and Infrastructure experience & knowledge (4-5+ years)

Working within a small systems team supporting the business across 2 sites supporting all departments and users, you will report to the head of department and provide support for systems and infrastructure. You will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
This role requires the individual to participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures are in line with the organisations requirements and strategic direction.
The scope of the role includes responsibility for internal infrastructure hardware and software as well as operational infrastructure including online systems, extending to cloud-based services where appropriate. Where required there will need to be involvement in new project work, where a hardware or software solution is needed to deliver the project, this may include suggestions for solution delivery both in terms of hardware/software and appropriate proof of concept work and testing.
The role requires the creation and maintenance of suitable documentation including network infrastructure and operating processes and procedures. The Senior SA will produce regular reports (monthly) showing the health of the network and usage patterns identifying any issues or trends that need attention.
In line with good security principles, the Senior SA will consider the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of all systems and wherever new requirements or changes are being requested/evaluated. The role requires the provisioning and maintenance of the Disaster Recovery (DR) solution for the business with regards to computer infrastructure, hardware, and software.

Microsoft Multifactor Authentication, Demonstrable skills in both on-prem and cloud infrastructure
Firewall management (Sophos advantageous), Network Configuration, Routers, Internet, VPN's, WiFi, Ethernet / Fibre, VLAN’s
IP Subnetting and segregation, Office 365 Configuration and administration
SMTP and email technologies (DKIM / SPF / DMARC), Switch Management
WSUS Management, Active Directory Administration, Experienced with Virtualization (HyperV advantageous)
Windows Server Domain Controller Knowledge, Experienced with Group Policy
Good knowledge of Linux, Endpoint Security, Experienced with DFS
