Design Technology Technician

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Design Technology Technician for a fantastic secondary school just outside of Hull. This role is to start as soon as possible or in September 2025, and ideally we are looking for a temporary practitioner who may be open to a permanent role in the future, as this is covering a vacancy. Payment for this position will be between £100 and £120 per day. This role is between 8:15AM and 3:00PM, 5 days per week.

This role will involve ensuring the smooth facilitation of the Design Technology departments, and will include the following:

Preparing materials, tools and equipment ofr workstations
Setting up workstations
Assisting teachers and students in practical lessons, including demonstrating the equipment and machinery
Adhering to health and safety regulations (including COSHH)
Conducting risk assessments
Keeping the DT department organised
Tidying workshops
Use of Band SawsYou will be joining a school with an excellent reputation in the local area. L2 in English and Maths
Experience in a hands on environment
Ideally experience within a school environment
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
