Whether you’re a seasoned Quality & Sustainability Manager craving more autonomy or a Product Technologist ready to step up, this role offers ownership, variety, and the freedom to shape how quality, compliance, and sustainability are delivered in a business that supplies some of the UK’s biggest homeware retailers.
Why This Role Stands Out
Autonomy & Influence – You won’t be micromanaged. You’ll be trusted to run the function, make decisions, and bring your ideas to life.
Lead Sustainability Initiatives – Drive key projects around recycled content, traceability, carbon reduction, and ethical sourcing — making products better for the customer and the planet.
A Growing SME That Values Expertise – No red tape, no being “just a number.” Your experience will make a visible difference.
Big-Name Retail Exposure – Own the technical journey for products sold by Dunelm, B&Q, Asda, Argos, and other major UK names.
Creative Partnerships – Get involved with exciting designer and influencer collaborations in a dynamic, fast-moving category. What You’ll Be Doing
As the key technical contact, you’ll oversee quality assurance and sustainability across the business. From supplier audits and gold seal approvals to product specs, packaging compliance, and retailer data requirements — you’ll be at the centre of it all. You’ll create and manage product workbooks, approve packaging specs and materials, and lead the charge on sustainability compliance.
What you’ll need
A background in quality, compliance, or product technology — ideally in textiles or homewares (but other sectors are welcome).
Strong communication skills – confident dealing with suppliers, retailers, and internal teams across commercial and operations.
Process and data driven – someone who spots issues early and enjoys solving problems through structure and detail.
A proactive, self-starting mindset – happy to roll your sleeves up in a standalone role, with the potential to grow a team over time. Other Info
