Overview
We are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong Siemens NX experience for a 12-month onsite contract in Derby. This is a hands-on role working in a high-integrity engineering environment, producing robust mechanical designs and supporting delivery across the design lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical design using Siemens NX

*

Produce 3D models, assemblies and detailed component designs

*

Support concept through to detail design and release

*

Participate in design reviews and provide technical input

*

Ensure designs meet functional requirements and are suitable for manufacture

*

Work with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues and manage changes

*

Maintain documentation and configuration control in line with internal processes

Required Skills / Experience

*

Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in an engineering/manufacturing environment

*

Strong Siemens NX capability (modelling and assemblies essential)

*

Good knowledge of GD&T and design for manufacture principles

*

Able to work onsite in Derby for the duration of the contract

*

Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver to deadlines

Rate & Duration

*

£40–46 per hour (dependent on experience)

*

12-month contract

*

Onsite in Derby
