Apex Resources are looking to speak with qualified Door Engineers within Glasgow and surrounding areas as travel may be required depending on workloads.

Shift: Dayshift

Pay : Ranging from £16-£19ph doe

* Experience within the industrial door industry is preferred

* Desirable qualifications include: IPAF, CSCS, PASMA and/or City & Guilds

* Full UK drivers licence

* Ability to communicate well

* Ability to read and understand general arrangement drawings and measure out appropriately

Key Duties/Responsibilities

* Mechanical installation ( plus electrical if qualified) of manual and electrical rolling and folding steel shutters and doors.

* Maintenance and proper use of all appropriate personal protective equipment.

* Carrying out activities in accordance project specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments.

* Completion of a Point of Work Risk Assessment prior to undertaking works.

* Manual handling and / or use of trolleys / bogies for horizontal transfer of materials.

* Measuring and drilling fixing holes in supporting structures as indicated on general arrangement drawings.

* At all times ensure that works are completed in a safe manner and that unfinished works are secure and do not pose a risk of damage to persons or property.

* Checking and testing products following completion of activities.

* Off-hire plant and equipment.
