Court of Protection Paralegal

Location: Altrincham (Hybrid – 1 day per week in the office)

Salary: £26,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Court of Protection Paralegal to join a Legal 500-recognised team based in Altrincham. This is a hybrid role with just one day per week in the office, offering excellent flexibility and a chance to develop your career within a highly respected legal practice.

The Role:

As a Court of Protection Paralegal, you’ll support senior fee earners and solicitors with a range of client matters, primarily involving property and financial affairs for clients lacking mental capacity. You’ll be involved in:

* Preparing and submitting Court of Protection applications

* Drafting legal documents and correspondence

* Liaising with clients, families, medical professionals and the Office of the Public Guardian

* Supporting deputyship administration, including annual reports

* Managing case files and maintaining accurate records

Requirements:

* Minimum 6 months’ experience in a Court of Protection or Private Client role (essential)

* Excellent communication and organisational skills

* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a busy workload

* A proactive, professional, and compassionate approach

* A legal qualification (LLB, LPC or similar) is desirable but not essential
