Senior Transport Clerk

Rugby based - transport required because of location

Monday to Friday 8am - 6 pm whilst training

4 on 4 off Days 6 am - 6pm going forward

On going temporary contract could be permanent for the right candidate

Salary: £29,000

Our large expanding logistics client in Rugby is seeking a forward thinking, proactive individual to join their busy team. This would suit someone who has already worked within a busy transport office who is looking for that next step.

Main tasks:

* Reporting and escalation of vehicle and trailer defects to the fleet department

* Completing daily risk assessments

* Working Time Directive for the driver workforce to maintain depot legal compliance

* Recording and following through DVSA stops

* Pro-active coordination of driver CPC records

* Absence Management

* Dealing with New Starter/Leaver details

* Dealing with Driver holiday requests/ Driver shift variations

* Deal with vehicle maintenance

* Supporting management with driver compliance

Person Spec

* Proven track record in Transport & Logistics industry

* Excellent organisation and communication skills

* Good understanding of Health and Safety processes

* Good people engagement skills, self-driven

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a customer facing environment

* Thrives in a fast paced environment

* Excellent Analytical skills.

* Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge including Excel, Word & PowerPoint

* Able to manage own time effectively
