Accounts Assistant – Nottinghamshire – £29,000 to £34,000 Study Support Hybrid Working

We’re working with a growing and dynamic business in Nottinghamshire to recruit an Accounts Assistant. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s looking to take the next step in their finance career — offering variety, progression, and a voice in the team.

This is more than just processing invoices. It’s a role for someone with drive and initiative, who wants to get stuck into all areas of transactional finance and play a hands-on part in keeping the department running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Allocating payments and coding invoices (AP)

Posting remittances and reconciling receipts (AR)

Maintaining the cash book and Excel payment logs

Cleaning up ledgers and chasing suppliers

Taking ownership of month-end housekeeping tasks

Supporting wider accounts duties, depending on your experience

What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or transactional finance role

Someone who takes initiative and doesn’t wait to be told what to do

A team player who’s also confident working independently

Strong Excel skills and general IT confidence (bonus points for pivot tables!)

Driven to develop and learn — study support is on offer!
