JOB TITLE - Experienced SEN LSA (KS1)

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive Primary School in Bristol, working with children in Key Stage 1.
The school provides a nurturing environment with a strong emphasis on pupil wellbeing, personalised learning, and collaborative teamwork. Staff benefit from ongoing support, clear communication, and opportunities for professional growth.

This is a full‑time position, and depending on performance, the school may look to extend the contract or offer a permanent role.

CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS

Location: Bristol
Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant (KS1)
Type: Full‑time, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £90 - £110 per day
Hours: 8:20am - 3:30pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for this role, you must have:

Previous experience working as an LSA or Teaching Assistant supporting SEN pupils, ideally in KS1
Strong understanding of SEN needs, such as Autism, SEMH, Speech & Language Needs, or Developmental Delays
Up‑to‑date Safeguarding Training (within the last year)
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting children
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
A genuine passion for supporting young learners with additional needs

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an Enhanced Child-Barred List DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
