About the Job
As a Health and Safety Coordinator at Lampton, you will play a key role in promoting and enhancing safety across the organisation, working within a supportive and experienced H&S team that values development and collaboration, gaining hands-on experience in a professional health and safety environment. You will help shape a positive, proactive safety culture that protects both people and operations and to act as a key link between the Health and Safety Team and the wider business, helping to coordinate safety-related activities, maintain compliance records, and support engagement across departments.
This is a practical and varied role that involves both administrative and field-based work, perfect for someone who thrives on making things happen and keeping teams on track.
Key Responsibilities include:
To support the delivery of health and safety across our organisation.
To act as a key link between the Health and Safety Team and the wider business,
Coordinate safety-related activities, maintain compliance records, and support
engagement across departments.
Coordinate the planning and also delivery of health and safety inspections, audits, and observations across teams and locations.
Assist in drafting, organising, and delivering toolbox talks (TBTs), safety briefings, and communications.
Maintain and update H&S records, logs, action trackers, and registers using digital systems.
Support the department in carrying out incident and safety observation investigations where required.
Monitor the status of incidents, observations, and corrective actions, ensuring timely follow-up.
Support the development and roll-out of health and safety campaigns, initiatives, and engagement activities.
Help track training, certification renewals, and compliance deadlines for individualsnand teams.
Prepare agendas, minutes, and reports for health and safety meetings, and ensure action items are completed.
Liaise with internal departments and external contractors to ensure consistent application of H&S procedures.
Provide on-the-ground support carrying out H&S site visits and investigations where required.
Support the H&S Business partners with project work and other H&S tasks as required.
Experience and Qualifications required
Professional H&S qualifications
Minimum of a NEBOSH Certificate
Familiarity with incident and inspection management systems (e.g., InfoExchange or similar platforms).
Experience supporting internal audits or regulatory compliance.
Understanding of H&S document control practices.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of health and safety principles (formal qualification ismrequired).
Proven experience in a coordination or administrative support role (H&S background preferred).
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with H&S systems or databases.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Confident communicator, both written and verbal.
Proactive, hands-on, and solution-focused approach to work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
