Design & Technology Teacher – Comprehensive School – Swindon – September 2025

A well-equipped state secondary school in Swindon is recruiting a skilled and committed Design and Technology Teacher to start in September 2025. You will teach KS3 and KS4 DT, ideally with a specialism in product design, resistant materials, or systems and control.

This is a forward-thinking school that values practical, problem-solving education and has recently invested in digital design tools including CAD/CAM software and laser cutters.

Duties Will Include:

Teaching DT across KS3–KS4 (GCSE AQA)

*

Leading practical project work using a range of materials and tools

*

Ensuring high standards of safety and engagement in the workshop

*

Contributing to cross-curricular STEM initiatives

*

Involvement in enrichment activities such as DT club or engineering competitions

What We’re Looking For:

DT or Engineering degree + PGCE/QTS

*

Experience with workshop tools and digital design platforms

*

A creative and solutions-focused teaching style

*

Willingness to collaborate across subject areas
